This is a story I wrote about attending an online listening party on Spotify for the new Urthboy album, which meanders across topics like the way Spotify affects how we enjoy music and how badly musicians get paid from it.
A liveblog of the US presidential debate open in one tab and Twitter in the other, I fired up Spotify. A few minutes later he arrived, along with someone from his label. There was only one other person there, because music journalists are never on time for things. Given this opportunity, I did what obnoxious people who arrive early at parties always do: I barrelled him into a corner and pestered him with questions.
