Cee Lo Green has had a strange career. He went from defining the sound of the Dirty South in The Goodie Mob to singing about necrophilia in Gnarls Barkley to a solo career that produced several remarkable albums but only earned him the recognition he deserved when he had a novelty hit with ‘Fuck You’ to co-hosting the American version of The Voice and putting out a Christmas album. That’s a pretty strange life trajectory, but what’s also pretty strange is that his Christmas album includes this menacing version of ‘You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch’ recorded with YouTube celebrity a cappella group Straight No Chaser.
